Christopher Pickett, son of Ray and Lynne Pickett of Des Allemands received his Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Commencement was held on May 20.

Rabbi Alan Tufts officiated the sunset ceremony at the Pelican Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale.

Science Night is part of an innovative program, "Putting Students in the Driver's Seat: An exploration of Motion and Force," that was awarded $1,960 by Dow's Educational Enhancement Grant last year.
