BOUTTE - The Hahnville High School Library celebrated Teen Read Week during the week of October 15 -19. Students participated in trivia questions, book giveaways, treat jar guessing, a Barnes & Noble gift card drawing and a Coffee House Night.

Mimosa Park Elementary students celebrated the spooky days leading up to Halloween with the school’s annual Octoberfest which featured a super frighting haunted house staged in the cafeteria and put on by Hahnville High School students.

Bayou Gauche community residents had barraged the St. Charles Parish Planning Commission with questions, a town meeting was scheduled to address them and then landowner Cecil Sumners withdrew his permit application Tuesday for the lake that drew all this attention.
