St. Charles Parish residents can add one more name to the list of potential candidates for the October 2007 parish president’s race, Councilman Clayton “Snookie” Faucheux - who officially announced his candidacy just days ago but told Herald-Guide readers exclusively that he was running last January.

Billy Raymond, Sr. 49, a lifelong resident of Hahnville, and a 27-year employee of Dow St. Charles Operations, in Taft, has announced his candidacy for the District 1 councilman position currently held by Desmond Hilaire, whose term ends this year.

Molly, a 15-year-old pony rescued after Hurricane Katrina by Kaye and Glenn Harris of St. Rose, is the only pony in Louisiana with an artificial leg because she was attacked by a pit bull dog in 2005.
