When New Orleans Hornets owner George Shinn said he wanted to create a senior dance squad to perform at home games, the team’s dance choreographer Ashley Deaton took Shinn’s idea and ran with it.

Ethan Alexander Hall was born on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 7:23 a.m. at East Jefferson General Hospital to proud parents Tiffany and Charley Hall, Jr. of Boutte. Ethan weighed in at 4 lbs. 14 oz. and was 18 inches long. Grandparents are Tobe and Leotha Alexander and Charlie Hall of Boutte.

Sheriff’s scholarship open to parish’s high school seniors

St. Charles Parish’s Sheriff Greg Champagne will award a scholarship providing assistance to a worthy St. Charles Parish student in furthering their education and training with resources made available through the Louisiana Sheriff’s Honorary Membership Program. It will be awarded to a graduating high school student from St. Charles Parish.

Local photographer, Tammy Mars of Gallery la Roux in Luling will have her work on display at the Louisiana State Museum in Patterson, Louisiana. The grand opening is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 17, and the display be be available for viewing for three months.
