Students in Stacy Neighbors and Heather Dey’s language arts classes at J.B. Martin presented student-written Holocaust children’s books and personal narratives in two publishing ceremonies, The Memories are the Past Relived to Learn for Our Future and The Hope in the Face of Despair.

The first handwritten letter I ever received was from my grandfather when I was a child. For a short time, his work took him from Louisiana to Wyoming where he would write to me often.

Nearly five months after 23-year-old Ramal Ellis was found shot to death behind the church where he volunteered his time, officials with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office say suspects have been identified in connection with the murder, though any arrests will have to wait until the evidence is fully processed.
