Jonathan and Kelli Knight of Zachary would like to announce the birth of their son, Jonathan Elijah Knight. Elijah was born at Woman’s Hospital on January 5, 2009 at 2:56 .m. weighing 6lbs. 11 ozs, and measuring 20 ½ inches long.

The Evangeline USA pageant, a preliminary pageant to the Louisiana USA pageant, was held recently in Ville Platte at the Northside Civic Center.

Exhibitions and performances are planned throughout the United States through next May to mark the hundredth year since Serge Diaghilev’s Ballet Russes stunned Paris and changed the course of Western culture by revealing the richness of Russian dance, music, and visual art.
