The Hahnville High Boys Golf Team hosted the Division I Region III Class 5-A Regional Tournament at Willowdale Country Club on Tuesday, April 24 and did so with an outstanding performance by the entire team.

Season update: Congratulations to the Tigers for ending district play with a championship under their belt, and a play-off game coming soon next week reportedly against Airline High School. The Tigers, who always look for good competition, met their match and lost against Holy Cross, 1-0.

|Hahnville grad takes golf skills to college at ULL

Congratulations to HHS Graduate Dustin Petit who recently signed a commitment with the University of Louisiana-Lafayette for a golf scholarship. Petit helped lead Hahnville High to the Class 5A State Title in the spring then went on to Meridian Community College to lead his team to the 2006 MACJC State/Region XXIII title and an eight-under par team score.
|HHS girls golf team competes like pros at spring regional tourney

The HHS Girls Golf Team competed in the Division I Region III golf tournament held at Colonial Golf & Country Club in Harahan on April 11. The team fared well placing 4th in the competition. Allie Petit placed 2nd with a score of 85. Teammate Elizabeth Suss was also named a tournament medalist with a score of 117.

Jobs safe at St. Charles Parish Hospital, Ochsner official says - 784 views
Despite the fallout of massive layoffs at River Parishes Hospital announced in conjunction with Ochsner Health System’s purchase of the facility, an Ochsner spokesman has said St. Charles Parish Hospital employees should not fear for their jobs.
