ON THE RUN.Runners and walkers from all across the Louisiana traveled to Destrehan to participate in the state’s largest race, the “Wall - Louisiana State 30K Championship” In the end 25 people were awarded special plaques in honor of their performance in the marathon. See the 2008 results below.

Darius Reynaud will turn pro early
Former Hahnville High School all-state running back Darius Reynaud, who has enjoyed a stellar college career at West Virginia, has decided to leave the Mountaineers a year early and throw his name in to the 2008 April draft according to his mother, Katrina.

For the second time in the past five years the LSU Fighting Tigers are the BCS College Football National champions. Last Monday the Tigers defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes 38-24 and to be honest the 38-24 score was no indication of just how dominant the Tigers were.
