From there he grew into a victorious wrestler, competing this past year at the State Wrestling Championships on February 17 and 18 at the Ponchatrain Center in Kenner and wrestling his way to number one in his weight class." |

The defending state champ distanced themselves from the field with a strong team performance. |

A Field of Dreams May 03, 2006 at 11:22 am It is that time of year again when our young children will begin to discover their field of dreams. Alex Waltz, now 15, has loved the game of baseball since the age of two. “He started with a plastic Coke bottle as his bat and the cap to the bottle as his ball,” said his mother Shannon Waltz. “He loves the game; he has a passion for the game,” adding that the Booster Club has allowed his dream to become a reality at a young age. |

After a few losses their current record is 17-7, managing to secure their place in the district tournament. This year will be the team's fifth trip to the state tournament. |
