The St. Louis Cardinals selected him in the Major League Baseball Draft. Although he was selected in the 17th round of the draft, Southard's prowess at Tulane University proved more than adequate to make the large leap to the pros. |

Arrest made in connection with West Bank burglary - 2438 views
The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 29-year-old Waggaman man they believe could be responsible for up to nine home burglaries that took place in Luling and Ama in the last month.
