Banquet will benefit shelter for abused women, children

BOUTTE - The Alpha Daughters of Zion is sponsoring a fundraiser banquet on Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. All proceeds will go toward maintaining a shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence or who are homeless. Featured guests are Dr. Marilyn Diggs, Patrice Wilson of Houston, Texas and One Accord. Tickets to the event are $25 and it will be held in the John L. Not too late to join Krewe of Des Allemands

Dance to Mardi Gras with Oldies but Goodies

NORCO - Join the Oldies But Goodies dance and social club for a Mardi Gras dance to raise money for Kassidy Terrio. The dance will be held Feb. 19 at the KC Home, 375 Spruce St. in Norco. Admission is $5 per person and participants are asked to bring entrees, side dishes, salads or desserts. Line dancing will go from 3-4 p.m. and general dancing will be from 4-8 p.m.

New support group for parents of AD/HD children

This is an opportunity to learn about AD/HD, assess treatment options and strategies, and strengthen family relationships.Guest speakers will include doctors and specialists.

HHS Theatre presents 'Little Shop of Horrors'
