Destrehan – St. Charles Parish 4-H is seeking new members for its Shooting Sports program that focuses on instructing participants in firearm safety and sportsmanship. Business Networking Event

Luling - St. Charles Parish will host its first SCP Business Exchange at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center, 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway in Luling. In addition to promoting networking with the parish business community, parish officials want to resume a local business association at the event. Attendees are asked to bring business cards and post their support of the event using the hashtag#ShopStCharles. There is no charge to attend the event. St. Rose – The St. Rose Volunteer Fire Department Women’s Group will hold a barbeque pulled pork lunch/dinner fundraiser Sept. 30 to help offset medical expenses for Christi Fraychineaud, teacher at St. Rose Elementary and single mother of three.
