Singleton, Eugene, Scott named to All-River Parishes Teams

Five from area named to 6-5A All-District Teams

Hahnville’s Brian Singleton and Whitney Scott and Destrehan’s Amber Eugene were recently named to the Times-Picayune’s All-River Parishes Basketball Teams. Five players from the parish were also recently named to the 6-5A All-District Teams.

Singleton is the lone St. Charles representative on both boys teams. He led the Tigers to a fourth place finish and helped them make a playoff run at the end of the season. In several games towards the end of the season, he led the Tigers with 20 or more points. Singleton also received the St. Charles Parish MVP Award earlier this month.

St. Charles MVP Amber Eugene and Hahnville’s Whitney Scott were the Parish’s representatives for the All-River Parishes girls team. Eugene led the Lady Cats to a third place district finish and to the state playoffs. Scott led the Lady Tigers to a fourth place district finish and was a key scorer all season.

Eugene and Scott were also named to the 6-5A All-District Team. Also named to the team were Destrehan’s Johnniesha Luckett and Hahnville’s Marquita Hill.
