At the end of each April,

Lockett slam door on Central
A basketball team needs
big men to get inside for rebounds and to score from short range at
times. But it was the Hahnville Tigers’ big men, Irvin Humphrey and
Kentrell Lockett, that carried the team to a fourth quarter surge
and a 55-46 victory Friday night against the Central Lafourche Trojans.

Tigers
escape late Buc charge
Hahnville's first half of
play against the West Jefferson Buccaneers Friday night was a testimony
to well disciplined and focused team football. The second half left
room for improvement and will give Coach Lou Valdin something to focus
on during the Thanksgiving break from classes. Fourteen points in
the final 13 minutes and a costly "unsportsmanlike conduct" penalty
gave the Buccaneers a chance to snap Hahnville's home winning streak
and their run at back-to-back state championships. |

Destrehan

After Friday night, no one
can accuse Destrehan head coach Stephen Robicheaux of not being resourceful.

the Terrebonne Tigers could do about it. |
