Eusea, Matthews named All-State

Eusea, Lauland, May named to All-State Freshmen squad

The Louisiana High School Soccer Coaches Association recently held their annual banquet and announced their All-State teams. Five local players were selected to those teams.

Hahnville’s Ashley Eusea was named to the First Team All-State and well as the All-State Freshmen First Team. Eusea was also announced as the winner of the Golden Boot Award, which is awarded to the player who scores the most goals in the entire state. Eusea was also third in the State MVP voting.

Destrehan defender Katie Matthews was also honored by being named to the All-State Second Team.

Hahnville freshman Jessica Lauland along with Eusea were named to the All-State Freshmen First Team while fellow Hahnville freshman Samantha May was named to the All-State Freshmen Second Team.

It was also recently announced that Hahnville’s Brianne Childress and Jennifer Madere were named Scholar All-State Athletes.
