Parlors will be open Sunday, July 2, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Monday, July 3, 2006 - 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, La. Aubrey Merrell Batson, Jr., a Quality Assurance Coordinator, St. Charles Parish Public Works, a native of Marked Tree, Arkansas and a resident of Luling, La., died on Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in Luling, La. A U.S. Navy veteran. Age 51. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Peters Batson; father, Aubrey Merrell Batson, Sr.; 1 daughter, Mindi Batson; sister and brother in law, Peggy and Joe Falla; father and mother in law, Pete and Reenie Peters; 2 brothers in law, Mike Peters and girlfriend, Robyne Bergeron and Joseph Peters and girlfriend, Rhonda Derveloy; 1 sister in law, Marie Guillot; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by mother, Sylvia Mercedes Batson; 1 brother, William “Billy” Batons; 3 sisters: Sue Tesch, Anita Gaubert and Mary Massengale. A funeral was held at Alexander Funeral Home of Norco on July 7, 2006. Cremation followed. Alexander Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
