Geek High by Piper Banks is a teen novel that follows the life of Miranda Bloom, a student at Nottingham Independent School, which is filled with gifted and high IQ intellectuals who refer to the school as "Geek High."
Math-mastermind Miranda, nicknamed "Human Calculator," cannot fit into the genius-filled "Geek High." She is cursed with problems that simply cannot be solved by using math.
Her mother flies off to London and leaves her with her father who has a new life of his own with Miranda's malicious stepmother and vexing stepsister.
She is head-over-heels for a boy who falls for her stepsister, and Miranda also gets blackmailed into planning the school's dreaded Snowflake Gala.
As the school year progresses, bad evolves to worst before it ever becomes magnificent.
Geek High is a welcomed addition to my collection of favorable books. It is funny, exciting, and has a satisfying ending. I look forward to the sequel.
