HAND IN HAND. Five years ago, you might have heard people saying “What is a Buddy Walk?” But not anymore!
The Down Syndrome Association of Greater New Orleans Buddy Walks have become HUGE events and this year’s walk was held in the Zephyrs/LaSalle parking lot on Oct. 28 and drew in the attention of more than 1,500 participants.
DSAGNO Buddy Walks are held throughout the United States in either September or October and promote awareness of the ability of individuals with down syndrome and other disabilities. Buddy Walks are celebrations of inclusion, diversity and participation by all in every phase of life.
