Satellite Center students win awards

The St. Charles Parish Public Schools Satellite Centerís Advanced TV Broadcasting Team Members won seven awards at the Louisiana Scholastic Press Associationís Conference held on the LSU Campus.

“I am very proud of my Team Members this year. They are doing some great work that is absolutely broadcast quality. I’m sure they are going to have some great resume material as they go off to college or careers in the broadcasting or film industry,” ATVB Facilitator Albert Dupont said.

The judges mentioned the shows were very professional and the hosts seemed very knowledgeable.† The judges also commented on the professional videography in the On The Prowl show opens and the quality of the editing.

The awards won were for Best Overall Broadcast, 1st Place Sports Game for Destrehan vs Hahnville Broadcast, 1st Place Videography for Destrehan On The Prowl Show Open. 2nd Place Videography for Hahnville On The Prowl Show Open, 2nd Place Photo Editing for On-Site Competition, 3rd Place Sportscast for On The Prowl Show and Honorable Mention Sportscast for On The Prowl Show.
