National Spanish Honor Society charters Hahnville High School Herald-Guide Staff Report

By Staff Report - December 6, 2006

Hahnville High School’s Spanish program has been granted a charter in the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica - that’s the “National Spanish Honor Society” for folks who speak “no espanol.”

In order to be considered for membership, a student must have taken at least three semesters of Spanish and maintain a minimum cumulative Spanish grade point average of 3.0.

A formal induction ceremony conducted in Spanish will be held in January to initiate new members.

HHS’s four Spanish teachers, pictured left to right, are Larry Savery, Maria Corzo, Krystn Charlie and Jennifer Sharer-Knight.

Are they proud of their classes and students? You bet!
