St. Rose Elementary Students Explore Space

From staff and wire reports - March 22, 2013

Third grade students in Alissa Ballís class at St. Rose Elementary are exploring space.

The class was presented with a model made of yarn to represent distances between each planet in the solar system. Students made comparisons of the distances between the inner and outer planets.

Julian Davis, Henry Robinson, Mylah Johnson, Michael Celius and Joshua Robinson represent the sun and the inner planets of the solar system. They demonstrated and compared how long it would take each of them to orbit the sun.
