Destrehan teen charged in Terrebonne murder

Jonathan Menard - March 9, 2013

An 18-year-old Destrehan woman is being held under a $1 million bond in connection with the murder of a Cut Off man last week.

Brandy Perdue, of 274 Meadows Drive, was with boyfriend Troy Jackson and Mississippi resident Ciegie Cheramie when she met the victim, 22-year-old Sergio Castellano, at a bar in Houma last Saturday night, according to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Police say the trio coaxed Castellano into Cheramie’s truck in order to rob him and headed to Jackson’s house in Gibson. At some point during the trip, Jackson allegedly shot Castellano inside the truck.

The next morning, police received a tip that a woman was in east Houma with a dead body in her truck. That woman turned out to be Cheramie, but when they found her authorities say Castellano’s body had already been dumped on Bayou Sale Road. Castellano was identified by his fingerprints.

Deputies quickly arrested Cheramie but contacted the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office for help locating both Jackson and Perdue. Capt. Pat Yoes, spokesman for the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, said the pair was located at a residence in Meadows Drive in Destrehan. They were questioned by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and were both arrested.

All three have been charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and obstruction of justice. Each of their bonds has been set at $1 million.
