Why is it that only politicians and government bureaucrats have the solutions to big problems in Louisiana?
There are usually two ways to fix problems. The easy way and government's way. Yet we continue to look to government to solve our problems.
In most cases, the current problems facing LA were caused by government (federal, state and local).
As Albert Einstein said: "Significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them."
Several common sense, long-term, solutions to LA's current homeowners' insurance crisis have been laid out. For the most part, the politicians have ignored them. It's either their way or the highway.
Apparently, the politicians live in such insular worlds that they believe their constituents (who they allegedly represent) are too dumb to have real solutions to their own problems.
As a result, our public officials are becoming barriers to solving the problems of those whom they are elected to represent.
Time for our so-called leaders to either lead, follow or get the hell out of the way.
