Murphy Paul Trahan

Murphy Paul Trahan, 85, passed away on Oct. 31, 2011 at his residence.

He was retired from the Bungee Grain Elevator and a veteran of World War II with the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Della Mae Trahan, two sons, Murphy Trahan Jr. (wife Geralyn) and Joey Trahan (wife Crystal), Eight daughters: Charlotte Trahan, Dale T. Naquin (husband Terald), Kim T. Gonzalez (husband Matthew), Patti T. Waguesuespack (husband late Mickey), Tracy Trahan, Jackie T. Grisoli (husband Damian), Geralynn T. Melancon (husband Gerald Jr.) and Pam T. Deshotel (husband Rodney); 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Trahan and Nita Meaux, three brothers and three sisters.

Services will be held Nov. 3 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. from the church with Fr. Bru officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Charles Mausoleum.
