Mobile Medical Unit unveiled at St. Charles Community Health Center
By Staff Report - Sep 28, 2006
The St. Charles Community Health Center displayed a new mobile medical unit to serve the New Orleans and Jefferson Parish region.
The unit was donated by MAP International and the Cardinal Health Foundation to support local care providers to help those in need. The new unit replaces a temporary mobile unit that was used immediately after Hurricane Katrina struck the region. MAP International, which is active in 110 countries, initially responded to Hurricane Katrina by sending enough infant formula and adult liquid nutrition to serve thousands of people. Cardinal Health Foundation focuses its efforts on programs to improve access to and delivery of quality healthcare services within the United States.
