Dear Editor,
In tune with Thanksgiving go our thanks to Mary Bergeron for giving of her time and herself for the benefit of the young people served by the St. Charles Parish School Board. We are grateful for her 22 years of dedication and leadership aimed at benefiting all children in our school system. Mary was the first woman elected to the board.

Mary is a model for public officials to emulate.  Her regard to opposing views, tempered with a conviction of her beliefs, has made her a board member that others respect and listen to.  Her watchful eye ensures that our tax money is well spent.

With our profound gratitude go our respect for a job well done and wishes for fulfillment in her retirement.  We are confident that she will shine in whatever she does.
