In recent days, three St. Charles Parish men were arrested and charged with indecent behavior with juveniles.
John Blank, 40, of 1546 Natchez Ln., LaPlace, was arrested and charged with molestation of a juvenile after a 13 year-old girl reported to her mother that Blank had inappropriately fondled her on July 31. Blank was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested on a warrant.
Donald Smith, 18, of 231 Post St., Killona, was arrested and charged with indecent behavior with juveniles and obscenity after he allegedly approached three females in front yard in the Killona area on July 31. All three females were under the age of 15.
According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office, Smith allegedly approached the girls and began flirting and eventually enticed them to follow him into a wooded area at which time he dropped his pants to his ankles and began masterbating. The young girls reported the incident to a family member and after interviewing the girls and the subject, Smith was arrested by the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office.
"It is a shame that this preditor approached innocent girls who were minding their own business and enticed them to follow him into seclusion as he exposed himself to the girls," said Sgt. Dwayne LeGrange of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office. "We take these kinds of crimes very seriously," he concluded.
Terrance Smith, 20, of 1154 Paul Frederick St., Luling, was arrested on a warrant issued on July 19, and charged with aggravated rape.
According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office, Smith allegedly had sex with a 12 year-old on April 12, 2006. Two years later, the girl, now 14, reported the incident to her grandmother who then contacted authorities. Smith was arrested and booked accordingly.
