Marie Anaise Rousseau Luquette, 73, of Des Allemands died Sunday, June 13, 2010 of complications from COPD.

She was the beloved wife of 55 years of Alfred Richard Luquette, mother and mother-in-law to Nanette Luquette Dufrene and her husband Rodney P. Dufrene Sr., Lawrence Adam Luquette II and his wife Rhonda, Cindy Lou Robert and her husband Kevin, Michael Luquette and his wife Sherry, Ross Luquette Sr. and his wife Jennifer, and Daniel Luquette and his wife Melissa; her sister, Gloria Matherne, and her brother, Douglas Rousseau. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave Rousseau and Josephine Rousseau Rome, her brother, Dudley Rousseau and his wife WillieMae, and her grandson, Rodney P. Dufrene Jr.

She was a grandmother to 17 and great-grandmother to 13. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Pepe, who was her constant shadow. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling to Disney World, collecting dolls and cooking for her family for Sunday football games.

Services were held on June 15 at Falgout Funeral Home. Interment followed at Mennonite Cemetery in Des Allemands. Falgout Funeral Homes was in charge of the arrangements.
