Hahnville Tigers takes charge “We came out like fire and didn't look back.” By Pat Smith - Feb 02, 2006
Once again Hahnville stepped out on the floor with the eye of the tiger, took control of the game and came out with a win over Destrehan Wildcats 61-42 in a District 5-5A game on Friday, Jan 27. The Tigers were relentless and at times punishing on both ends of the court. Destrehan attempted many times to pull ahead and close the gap but were unsuccessful due too many turnovers in the first half, a total of 10. Three minutes into the second quarter, Hahnville lost its leading scorer, Brian Singleton, and Destrehan lost Josh Martin, after braising up to each other on the court. Both were ejected from the game, forced to watch the rest from the bench. However, the Hahnville Tigers stepped up and kept the momentum flowing. Read More Stories at HeraldGuide.com! |
