DHS to take on HHS this week in baseball Coach says team has rebounded from losses By M. Susanne Hinkle - Apr 20, 2006
The Destrehan High School Wildcat Baseball Team started the season 9-0. After a few losses their current record is 17-7, managing to secure their place in the district tournament. This year will be the team's fifth trip to the state tournament. "We started the season with a few difficulties, but I feel we have rebounded since then," said Head Coach Marty Luquet. The team finished second in the district with an upcoming game against archrival Hahnville High School to take the district title. "We need to sweep HHS this week," said the coach. Hahnville currently has a two game lead over DHS. "The team is consistent on the mound, although we struggle at times," the coach continued. Read More Stories at HeraldGuide.com! |
