Leroy Paul "Squack" Loup retired from Monsanto Chemical Plant for over 30 years. He was a resident of Luling and a native of Wallace. He passed away Saturday, October 27, 2007 at his residence.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cecile Hymel Loup; daughter, Yvonne Adam; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and wife Ineta Loup, Glenn and wife Tracey Loup, and Gregory and wife Karen Loup; 4 sisters, Annabel Lambert, Linda Chauvin, Ruby Roussel, Shirley Schexnayder; 2 brothers, F.J. Loup, Jr., and Curtis Loup; 9 grandchildren, Aaron and Logan Loup, Corey and Tiffany Adams, Garrett, Alyssa Loup, Amanda, Glenn Jr., and Ryan Loup; step-grandchild, Celeste Hoffmann. Preceded in death by his father, Felecien Loup; mother, Linda Trege Loup; and a brother, Gene Loup. He was a long time member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. He was an avid Tulane and Hahnville High School baseball fan. Visitation was on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 8 a.m. till Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow in St. Charles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home of Norco in charge of arrangements.
