Boutte Christian Academy NOW offers no-cost schooling
By Staff Report - Sep 13, 2007
Qualifying parents can now register their 4 year olds for a chance at free placement in private pre-kindergarten programs at Boutte Christian Academy in Boutte.
The program is designed for needy families and the requirements are: students must turn age 4 on of before Sept. 30 and kids must be current on all medical immunizations.
Families must have an annual household income less than - $19,600 for a family of one; $26,400 for a family of two; $33,200 for a family of three; $40,000 for a family of four; $46,800 for a family of five and $53,600 for a family of six.
BCA faculty member Kimberly Babineaux says that the school is able to offer the program because of the state’s needy families and schooling initiatives.
“The program is made possible by the State of Louisiana’s Nonpublic Schools Early Childhood Development Program and the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program,” said Babineaux.
“States funds will pay private school pre-kindergarten tuition for participating 4 year olds,” she continued.
Babineaux says that families whose income is higher that these amounts may still be able to enroll their 4 year olds in private school pre-kindergarten classes for affordable tuition fees.
To register, call the school at 985-785-2447.
