Antique and classic cars galore at 2nd Annual River Road Car Show

Vacherie - The 2nd Annual River Road Car Show rolls into historic St. Joseph Plantation Saturday, March 17.
Classy, restored antique cars and motorcycles will wind down Old Great River Road to compete amid elegant plantation grounds and sugarcane fields.
The event is open to the public for a full day of high-polished chrome, rich paint detail, and leather seats.
Browse among row after row of classic and antique show cars from all over Southeast Louisiana. Prizes awarded include clover trophies.
The classy rides aren't the only show in town.
Area restaurants dish up world famous Cajun and Creole cuisine like crawfish pies, jambalaya, fried shrimp, and gumbo.
Enjoy ice cold beer served by Hooters Girls and listen to live music by Don Rich.
Local craftsmen and vendors will have their hand made crafts and gifts on display.
Door prizes will be given away all day.
The show opens to the public at 9 a.m. and runs full blast until 6 p.m. at St. Joseph Plantationlocated at 3535 Highway 18, Vacherie between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Tickets are $5 for adults and children under 12 are free.
Tours of the St. Joseph Plantation mansion and grounds are available at $7.50 per person. For information, contact the River Parishes Tourist Commission at 985-359-2562.
