Married to the Mop
By Colette Lottinger - Jan 26, 2006
“Married to the Mop” is Luling resident Barbara Colley’s fifth murder mystery solved by the owner of the Maid for a Day service, Charlotte LaRue. This is an easy reading novel with familiar locations and situations that make this a fun mystery read especially for locals. The combination of Mafia don, missing faberge eggs, an abusive husband, a senile mother, scared relatives and a Mardi Gras party are just a part of the intense package of mystery. Charlotte LaRue gets roped into helping out even when her very life is at stake.
Interesting and fast moving is this newest mystery from Colley. In fact it was written before and published just after Hurricane Katrina hit. The Garden District and other local places penned about the New Orleans area will hold a special fondness for readers.
