Hahnville pitcher Todd Porche tossed a no-hitter against Terrebonne to lead his squad to a 1-0 victory on Monday.

Hahnville’s seven game win streak came to an end with a 1-0 loss to rival Destrehan last Thursday, but the Tigers (13-9) rebounded this week to beat Terrebonne and East St. John to improve their district mark to 3-1.

Hahnville 0    Destrehan 1

Hahnville’s Tyler Lamers and Destrehan ace Kade Granier had an epic pitching duel on Thursday, but the Wildcats gained the upper hand with a run in the third inning that proved to be all they needed for the victory.

Lamers allowed only two hits in seven innings, but had control issues in the third. He hit both Logan Krajcer and Jacob Cambre with pitches while walking Sam Steib. Krajcer later came in to score on a balk.

Despite that inning, Lamers did more than enough for his team to win. However, the Tigers could only get four hits in the game.

Matt Fontenot led Hahnville from the plate, going 2-for-4. Brock Harrell finished 1-for-2, while Chase Bagot went 1-for-3.

In addition to holding the Wildcats to two hits, Lamers struck out three in the game.

Hahnville 1    Terrebonne 0

Hahnville’s Todd Porche tossed a no-hitter to lead the Tigers to a 1-0 victory over Terrebonne on Monday. Porche was nearly perfect in the game, walking just one batter while striking out three in seven innings.

Despite Porche’s pitching performance, the Tiger bats didn’t warm up until the seventh inning when Hahnville pushed the winning run across the plate. Lamers singled to begin the final frame and advanced to second on a grounder by Porche. Fontenot followed with a single to right field that plated Lamers for the winning run.

Fontenot led the Tigers from the plate, recording two of his team’s six hits. Lamers, Garret Smith, Dylan Keller and Harrell also finished with hits in the game.

Hahnville 5    East St. John 2

ESJ scored a run in the first inning, but the Tigers responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame.Keller singled in one of those runs when he plated Smith, and Harrell drew a bases loaded walk to give the Tigers a 2-1 lead.

However, East St. John tied the game with a sacrifice fly in the second.
