An overview of the school system’s record-breaking 2013 United Way campaign was presented to the School Board at its January meeting.

Representatives from the United Way of St. Charles were in attendance to thank and congratulate the school system for the campaign that raised a total of $94,482.49 for the citizens of St. Charles Parish.

The 2013 campaign total is the largest ever raised by the school system for the local charitable organization and represents a 28 percent increase in funds raised compared to 2012. Over half of the school system’s employees participated in the campaign, a 10 percent increase in participation from the previous year.
