Norco Christmas parade

From staff and wire reports -   Nov 21, 2013

NORCO – The Norco Christmas parade will take place on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 2 p.m.

The annual Christmas parade’s theme this year is “Santa Goes to the Movies” and features Mr. and Mrs. Clause along with an ever changing group of special guests.

The parade rolls from River Road  and Washington Street, turns north on Good Hope Street, turns west on Sixth Street and then south on Apple Street. It disbands at Apple Street and River Road.

The Norco Christmas Parade is a family-friendly event meant to bring Christmas Spirit and joy to the people of the River Parishes. The annual parade features floats with local clubs and organizations, marching bands, dance troupes, horse-riding groups, antique cars, a wide array of festival and pageant queens and, of course, Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

The family fun continues with a community celebration at the Capital One Bank parking lot, with caroling,  the lighting of the Christmas tree and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be taking photos with the children.

If you are interested in participating, call (985)764-9424 or email Norcoparade@aol.com.
