We need to put North Korea to rest
Our View - Apr 11, 2013
Even though South and North Korea are very small countries, they are a major issue in the way the world turns in the future. It is not likely that North Korea, one of the few dedicated communist countries in the world today, will have its way. It does not have support from the rest of the world.
But North Korea threatens the rest of the world constantly with nuclear weapons which it is developing and is becoming a menace to other nations. Apparently, according to its rhetoric, it is ready to atomic bomb the United States and areas in between.
Sometimes we have to relax and sit back when threats such as these occur. And our studies during those times have indicated that they sometimes have us in some sort of danger from what they are threatening.
So we do have to face the reality of what could happen if their threats become real. And there are certainly ways we can do this.
We need to prepare for any possibilities of attack which we have already done to a great extent. We also need to gather the allies around us to join in a united effort to stop such a ridiculous threat from one small country in northern Asia against the entire world.
It is hard to believe that North Korea would try to take on the United States and other major countries in a battle it had no possibility of winning. But sometimes, nations have such premonitions.
Hopefully, North Korea will come to its senses and calm down its obstinance in world affairs. And it will let the United States and other free world countries have the right to continue trying to make the world a safer place in which to live.
