Bourgeois-Kennedy engagement

Wayne Bourgeois and Leila Bourgeois of Luling are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Amanda Leah, to Barry Jason Kennedy, the son of Barry and Edna Gayle (Bailey) Kennedy of Franklinton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Joseph and the late Marie Bourgeois and Barbara "Bobbie" Gaubert and the late Denis Gaubert, all of Luling. Amanda is a graduate of Nicholls State University with a B.S. in Dietetics and is employed by The Basketry in Luling. The prospective groom is the grandson of Katherine Kennedy and the late Ray Kennedy of Franklinton and Velma Bailey and the late Merril Bailey of Robert. Jason is a graduate of LA Tech University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and is employed at T Baker Smith in Houma as a professional licensed engineer and a licensed professional surveyor. The couple will exchange vows in a small ceremony on Saturday, April 27 in Springfield.
