Congratulations to Ursula Gaines, Lakewood Elementary teacher of the year.

Gaines is currently in her 16th year of teaching and her third year at Lakewood. She considers herself to be an educator, mentor, and friend.

"I enjoy teaching because it allows me to make a difference in the lives of others. I love to see the connections being made through learning," Gaines said.
