Mimosa Park Elementary Captain's Crew is a title given to the top fifteen (15) 1st and 2nd grade students that participate in the library's reading program.

These students earn this honor by reading the most number of minutes on a monthly basis. Captain's Crew members receive a certificate, book, treat from Mariano's Italian Eatery and a personalized sailor hat.
