Emily Womack Eshleman, 88, a retired employee of Archbishop Rummel High School, passed away on Friday, Nov. 2 at Luling Living Center.

Eshleman was born in Oklahoma, raised in Gladewater, Texas and lived in Metairie for the past 60 years.

Survivors include her children, Robert Eshleman and Ollie E. Young; sister, Billie W. Rice; nephew, Robert Girardo; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She served in the Coast Guard during WWII and was a member of The SPARS.

She was a parishioner of St. Benilde Catholic Church and Girl Scout Troop Leader. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Interment followed at All Saints Mausoleum.
