Members of Alpha Mu Omega sisterhood at Hahnville High School recently helped serve the homeless at the Ozanam Inn Shelter in New Orleans. Serving the homeless at the shelter is an annual event for this organization.

Over the holidays, members raised $80 and donated gifts to the Angel Tree to help relieve guardians of children whose parents are incarcerated in prison.

The organization was able to sponsor eight children to help make their Christmas season brighter.

Current members of the organization are Shanna Taylor, Nikeo Brown, KiAshanti Marshall, Kiante Marshall, Tyreyun Johnson and Essence Stewart. The group is sponsored by Cecelia Gillam.
