| Adams |
Edwin Lockwood Adams, a native of Centreville, Miss. and resident
of Paradis, passed away on July 22. He was 84 years old.
Mr. Adams was a member of the RSVP of the River Parishes for 14
years and a parishoner at Des Allemands Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Earl H., Edward L., Ronald E. and
Juan F. Adams, daughters Sharon A. Deloach and Delilah A. Dufrene,
16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death
by his wife, Edwina Cadow Adams, parents William and Ida Rae Adams,
daughter Judith Lynn Adams, brothers Thomas, William, Sidney, Henry,
Joseph and Edgar Adams and sisters Emma, Beatrice, Lillian, Amanda,
Ray, Florence, Alice and Lucinda.
Religious services were held on July 25 at Des Allemands Baptist
Church, followed by interment at the Des Allemands Mennonite Cemetery.

| Chancellor |
Joycelyn Adams Chancellor, 81, passed away on July 20 at her home
in Luling. Services were held on July 22 at Ott and Lee Funeral
Home in Brandon, Miss.
Mrs. Chancellor was a native of Rankin County, Miss. and a longtime
resident of Luling, as well as a member of Luling United Methodist
Church.
She is survived by her son, Homer Chancellor and wife Carol; son-in-law
Thomas LeMaire; sisters Merle Hudson, Ruth Hall and Kay Freathy;
brothers Charles Speer Adams and Rev. James L. Adams; grandchildren
Yvonne Pittman, Sheryl Chancellor, Angela Herbert and Nicole LeMaire,
great-grandchildren Deanna Chancellor and Chance and Landon Herbert.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Eugene Chancellor,
daughter Peggy LeMaire and grandson Brett LeMaire.

John C. “Chink” Chauvin passed away on July 15. He was 86 years
old.
A native of Union and lifelong resident of Lutcher, Mr. Chauvin
was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Husband of the late Euphremia Bourgeois Chauvin, son of the late
John and Laura Roussel Chauvin, father of Laura Chauvin Delhommer
of Pine Bluff, Ark. and Cheryl Chauvin Cornett of Head of Island,
grandfather of Trisha Delhommer and Ashley Cornett Balfantz, step-grandfather
of Rhett Cornett and Rachel Raffray, great-grandfather of Julia
Lee Green and Baylee Balfantz and step-great grandfather of four,
brother of Enola Chauvin Sanchez and Ruby Chauvin Loupe of Baton
Rouge and the late Wilbert P. Chauvin of Lutcher and Ethel Chauvin
Judice of St. Martinville.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on July 17 at St. Joseph Catholic
Church in Paulina.

Stella Jacob Chauvin passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on July
9. She was 90 years old. A native and lifelong resident of Union,
she was a homemaker and member of the St. Mary Alter Society.
Wife of the late Lynn Chauvin, daughter of the late Fernand and
Celeste Landry Jacob, she is also preceded in death by her brothers
and sisters. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on July 10 at St. Mary Catholic
Church in Union.

Dereck George Clofort passed away on July 1
at St. Charles Parish Hospital. He was two months old.
He is survived by his parents, Michael Clofort
and Brandy Nicole Schexnayder, grandparents Katrina and Rick Pellisser
and Brian and Tammy Schexnayder, great-grandparents Sal and Sharon
Gulino, Gene and Arless Giles and Dorothy Schexnayder, godparents
Sal and Janie Graffia and brother Christian Michael Schexnayder.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Elmore Schexnayder.
Services were held at St. Charles Borromeo
Mausoleum in Destrehan on July 3.

| Culver |
Janet A. Culver, RN, age 84, retired plant nurse at Monsanto Co.,
passed away on July 19. She was born in Denver, Colorado, grew up
in West Palm Beach, Fla., and moved to New Orleans. to attend Touro
Nursing School. She graduated from Touro School of Nursing in 1943.
She was a nurse at the Pascagoula Shipyards during WWII, then a
Public Health Nurse with the St. Charles Parish Health Unit. She
was the Plant Nurse at Monsanto Co. until she retired with 25 years
of service. She was a longtime resident of Destrehan until moving
to Zachary.
Janet is the wife of the late William S. Culver, Sr. She is survived
by her son, William S. Culver, Jr. and his wife, Cheri of Metairie,
her daughter, Marcia K. Culver of Montz, and her sisters, Judith
Ehlies of Woodruff, S.C, Maude Altman and Mary Johns of Zachary,
numerous nieces and nephews, and close family friend, Cherie Huffman
of Metairie.
Friends of the family are invited to attend the graveside services
at Young Family Cemetery in Zachary. today at 10:30 am. In lieu
of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 1330
Peachtree St., Suite 100, Atlanta, Ga. 30309. Donors should include
the name Janet Culver, RN, the name and address of the family member
they would like to be notified of the donation, and the donor's
name and address so their donation can be acknowledged.

| Eberthardt |
Herman Eberthardt 88, a native of Dusseldorf, Germany and a resident
of Hahnville, passed away July 11. Funeral Services were on July
14 at St. Charles Mausleum, St. Mark Corridor.
He is survived by a daughter Maria Gertrude Mc Daniel and a son
Herman Eberthardt. He is also survived by an adopted and loving
daughter Shirley Gaubert. He was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude
Eberthardt.

| Elkin |
Mary Vallery Elkin passed away on July 30. She was born and raised
in New Orleans and lived in Luling for over 40 years. She was the
daughter of the late Henry and Eva Vallery. She is survived by her
son, Richard, daughters Gena Medina and Crystal Elkin, son-in-law
Manuel Medina, soon-to-be son-in-law Shannon Summers and four grandchildren,
Michael, Michelle, Manny and Kristen and Shannon Summers Jr. She
also had three brothers, Henry Jr., Earl and George, and four sisters,
Rita Mae, Brenda, Geraldine and Georgiana, and a host of nieces
and nephews.
Ms. Elkins worked for many years as a waitress/cashier. The family
would like to thank Dr. Kevin Joseph and staff for their support
and care and extend a heartfelt thank-you to Michelle, her home
health care nurse.
Ms. Elkin wished to be cremated. A memorial service was held on
Aug. 5 at Luling United Methodist Church.

Richard Flatley III, a resident of Hahnville, passed away on July
30. He was 45 years old.
He is survived by his daughter, Alisha D. Colwell of Manchester,
Tenn., sister Connie Chambers of Tallahassea, Fla., granddaughter
Nancy Steele of Florida, father Richard Flatley Jr. and stepbrother
Michael Flatley, both of Newport, N.J.
He was laid to rest in Tallahassea, Fla.

Emerson Anthony Gaubert passed away on July 7. He was 82 years
old.
A native of Thibodaux and resident of Covington, Mr. Gaubert was
a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his daughters, Lorraine Gilardi
and Fay Mahlie, brothers Dennis and Irby Gaubert, sisters Eunice
Robert, Ethel Keller and Leah Rae Cantrelle, six grandchildren and
six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Cecile
Hymel Gaubert, parents Ambrose and Leah Zeringue Gaubert, son Perry
Gaubert, brothers Clifford, Lawrence and Norman Gaubert and sister
Agnes Adams.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on July 8 at St. Charles Borromeo
Catholic Church.

Anthony Carlo Lucia Sr. passed away on July 22. He was 73 year
sold.
A native of New Orleans and a resident of Good Hope and Laplace
for 20 years, Mr. Luccia was the beloved husband of 45 years of
Irene Barreca Lucia, son of the late Angelina Barreca Lucia and
Vincent J. Lucia, Sr., father of Angela L. Fabares, Vincent J. Lucia,
Mary L. Schexnaydre, Michelle L. Catoire, Anthony C. Lucia Jr, and
Joseph P. Lucia; father-in-law of David P. Schexnaydre, Terri K.
Lucia, Gearldlynn W. lucia, Eric P. Catoire and Dean M. Fabares;
grandfather of Christopher and Krystle Fabares, David, Shelly and
Maria Schexnaydre, Erica, Natalie and Clint Catoire, Brennan Lucia,
Joey and Kami Lucia and Brooke and Cody Falgoust; brother of Joseph
C. Lucia, Rosalie L. Saunders, Mary L. Snyder, Cody A. Lucia and
the late Vincent J. Lucia Jr.
Mr. Lucia served in the National Guard, was a former member of
the Sacred Heart of Jesus Choir, Norco Volunteer Fire Department
and a parishoner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. A Mass
of Christian Burial was held on July 24 at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church in Norco. The family is grateful for the special care given
by Twin Oaks Nursing Home.

Amy Landeche Marino passed away on July 3. She was 91 years old.
A native of Killona and resident of Norco, she was the wife of
the late Ruche Marino; mother of Judge Ruche J. Marino and mother-in-law
to Juanita Duplantis Marino; grandmother of Mark A. Marino, Yvette
Marino Babin, Mollie Marino Childress, Justin W. Marino, Ruche J.
Marino Jr. and Juanite Rosalie Marino; great-grandmother of Ashley
Marino, Jennifer Marino, Orrin Marino, Chad Humphries, Nicholas
Oubre, Corey J. Oubre, Jessie Oubre, Blaize Marino, Justis Marino,
Lexie Babin, Lydia Ann Babin, Sarah Babin and Jared Matherne; daughter
of the late Edward J. and Aimee Becnel Landeche; sister of Blanchard
J. Landeche, Gladys L. Mickal, Dorothy L. Thomas, Elsie L. Lousteau
and the late Kermit J. Landeche and Beatrice L. Gendron.
She was a member of the Council on Aging-RSVP for over 20 years
and a homemaker.

Enola Mott, 89, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Des Allemands,
passed away on July 11. Funeral services were on July 17 at Antioch
Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Mott Sr., daughters Delores
Darensberg, Anna Mae Thomas and Alberta Singleton, sons Albert Mott
Jr., Nolan Mott Sr., James Mott Sr., Michael Mott and Irvin Mott,
48 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Sr. and Grace
Scott Colins, son Lawrence Mott Sr., daughters Dorothy Allen, Shirley
Robinson and Patricia Mott, brothers Harry, James, Irvin and Henderson
Scott and sisters Rose Brown, Alberta Cotton, Lessie Young, Caldonya
Williams and Mary Alice Simmons.

| Robinson |
Arthur M. Robinson, a native of Rochester,
N.Y. and resident of Luling for 38 years, passed away on July 3.
He was 71 years old.
Education was a major priority for Mr. Robinson,
who recieved his BS in civil engineering from the University of
Illinois, a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University
of Houston and a MBA from Nicholls State University. He was employed
by Union Carbide for 30 years. After retirement, he worked as an
engineering consultant. He served in the army during the Korean
Conflict. His passions were golf and the beach. He was the charter
member of the Willowdale Country Club.
He is surivived by his loving wife, Rosemary
C. Robinson, daughter Dana R. Goodman, Dawn R. Lemoine and Tracy
R. Suer, two sons-in-law, Allen Lemoine and Leo Suer, six grandchildren,
Jessica and Jona Goodman, Josh and Joel Lemoine and Lance and Tyler
Suer, and two brothers, Leonard and Wallace Robinson.
Memorial services will be private. In lieu
of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to
