Linda Wray Allen Alleman, passed away at St. Charles Parish Hospital
as the result of a heart attack on Feb. 2. Wife of Samuel Alden
Alleman. Mother of Samuel Alden Alleman, Jr. of Missouri City, Texas,
Chauvin Guy Alleman of Metairie, Thomas Allen Alleman of Midland,
Texas and Kathryn Alleman Liberty of Baton Rouge. Mother-in-law
of Tracy Clifford Alleman of Metairie, Jill Ruland Alleman of Midland,
Texas and Jeffrey Liberty of Baton Rouge. Daughter of the late Mary
Haynes Allen Nason and Leslie Wallace Allen. Sister of Mary Allen
Warmack of Reston, VA, Myrtle “Muff” Gettel Secrest, of Hideaway,
Texas and Malva “Tinka” Calvert of Hawaii. Grandmother of Samuel
Adam Alleman and Scott Alden Alleman of Missouri City, TX and Matthew
Stephen Liberty and Amanda Nicole Liberty of Baton Rouge. Also survived
by many nieces and nephews. Aged 65 years, a native of Baton Rouge
and a resident of Hahnville for the past 31 years.
Services were held at the Metairie Funeral Home of L. A. Muhleisen
and Son, on , Feb. 5,. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations
to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 159, Destrehan, LA
70047-0159 or to The Susan G. Komen Foundation, P. O. Box 650309,
Dallas, Texas 75265-0309.

| Boudreaux |
Louis “Dad” Omer Boudreaux, a native of Edgard and resident of
Hahnville, passed away on Feb. 5. He was 73 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Gendron Boudreaux, daughters
June Billiot and husband Dennis of Raceland and Paula Pizzolato
and Husband Thomas Jr. of Luling, brother Joseph Boudreaux of Baton
Rouge and grandchildren Carson Sommé, Thomas Pizzolato III and Tanner
Pizzolato. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ada
Webre Boudreaux.
Mr. Boudreaux was a parishoner at Holy Rosary Catholic Church,
a member of the American Legion Post 131 of Luling and retired from
Monsanto after 32 years of service.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Feb. 10 at Holy Rosary
Catholic Church in Hahnville, followed by burial at St. Charles
Cemetery in Luling.

| Danford |
Joe “Paw Paw” Danford, a native of St. Albans, W.V. and resident
of Luling, died on Feb. 21 He was 54 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Shoemaker Danford. He was the
father of Leslie Ann Harris, Cherish Lee Danford, Joshua Allen Danford
and Jacob Aaron Danford and father-in-law of Bo Harris. He was the
son of Sue and Jack L. Danford, son-in-law of Bonnie and Norman
Shoemaker, brother of William Patrick Danford and Jana Lynn Knight,
brother-in-law of Wayne Knight, Richard Shoemaker and Jerry Shoemaker.
He was the grandfather of Joseph Coyle Harris and Lydia Grace Harris.
He was a retired Operations Technician with Dow Chemical Company,
a member of West St. Charles Baptist Church and a 30-year veteran
of the Luling Volunteer Fire Department. A memorial service with
full Fireman’s Honors was conducted at West St. Charles Baptist
Church on Feb. 25.

| Denoux |
Donald J. “Skipper” Denoux , of Norco, died on Feb. 4. He was 87
years old.
He was the beloved husband for 45 years of the late Dorothy Lucas
Denoux, father of Dottie D. Catoire, Kathryn D. Boucvalt, Susan
D.Messer, Donald M. Denoux and Michael T. Denoux, father-in-law
of Lawrence Boucvalt, Michael Messer, Joan Roussel Denoux, Olivia
Schexnaydre Denoux and the late William “Billy” Catoire, son of
the late Raymond A. Denoux Sr. and Christina Dimm Denoux, brother
of Raymond A. Denoux Jr., Elodie D. Vanderlinden and the late Leslie
D. Guidry, Dorothy D. Juneau and Bernice D. Luks. He is survived
by his second wife, Dorothy Lauman Denoux, 13 grandchildren, 13
great-grandchildren and the late infant Justin Posey and three great-great
grandchildren.
He was a Navy WWII veteran of the Pacific Theatre, a past member
of VFW Post #195, Norco, Knights of Columbus #3634, Norco, NCHA,
Pete Fountain’s Half-Fast Marching Club, the American Legion, the
Knights of Columbus and the Krewe Omega in Hammond.
Mass was held on Feb. 7 at Sacred Heart Church in Norco, followed
by burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kenner. The family wishes
to thank Guardian Hospice and the staff at Chateau Living Center
for their kindness and care.

Terry J. Dufrene Sr., a native and resident
of Des Allemands, passed away on Feb. 2. He was 70 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Bell Usie
Dufrene, sons Terry J. Dufrene Jr. and Albert Dufrene, daughters
Rosalind Lewis, Lisa Breaux, Robyn Griffin and Lucia Savoie, brother
Roland Dufrene, sister Earline Gaubert, nine grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert
and Josephine Touchard Dufrene.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St.
Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands on Feb. 4, followed by
burial at St. Gertrude Cemetery.

| Gonor |
Angeline Vicknair Gonor died on Feb. 25 in LaPlace. She was 96
years old. A native of Heart of Island and resident of Norco, she
is wife of the late Lester Joseph Gonor, daughter of the late Joseph
and Julienne Keller Vicknair, mother of John H. Gonor and wife Sheila
Gonor, Leah G. Weber and husband J.C. “Peanut” Weber and the late
Louis J. Gonor, sister of Alex Vicknair, E.J. Vicknair, Mary V.
Taylor, Leona V. Ferraro, Shirley V. Scotti, Avis V. Landry and
the late Beauregard Vicknair, the late Oliver Vicknair, the late
Calice V. Decereaux and the late Lena V. Petite, one deceased grandchild
and one deceased great-grandchild. She is survived by seven grandchildren
and eight great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Feb. 26 at Sacred Heart
Catholic Church in Norco followed by interment in St. Charles Borromeo
Mausoleum.

Marie Ann “Mary Ann” Acosta Hotard, a lifelong resident of Norco,
died on Feb. 15. She was 73 years old.
She is survived by her son, Francis A. Hotard Jr., daughters Diane
H. Sudkamp, Betty H. Simoneaux, Gloria Faye H. Parent, Vickie Lynn
Hotard, Tammy H. Murphy, Patricia H. Vicnair and Roxanne H. Roy,
brother Sterling Acosta Jr., sisters Linda A. Pfister and Inez A.
Faucheux, 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded
in death by her husband, Francis Hotard Sr.
A funeral Mass was held on Feb. 18 at L.A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral
Home in Kenner, followed by burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

| Joubert |
Maude Marie Joubert, age 80, died on Feb. 27. She was preceded
in death by her husband, George J. Joubert Jr. She is survived by
her daughters, Debbie Brooks, Claudia Joubert and Robin Joubert,
sisters Elise McCabe, Lucille Landeche and Isabel Madere and grandchildren
Adam J. Brooks and Kathryn J. Brooks.
Visitation was held on March 2, followed by burial at Holy Rosary
Cemetery in Taft.

| Kinler |
Stanley Lucien Kinler, a native of Hahnville and resident of Orleans
Parish, died on Feb. 16. He was 68 years old.
He is preceded in death by his parents, W.J. Sr. and Florence
Baudoin Kinler, and by brothers W.J. Jr., Benedict, Raymond and
Malcolm Kinler. He is survived by his brother Floyd, sisters-in-law
Myrtle Kinler and Melva Kinler Champagne, eight nephews and seven
nieces.
A Funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church
in Hahnville on Feb. 18, followed by interment at Holy Rosary Cemetery.

| Louviere |
Daneel Boutte Louviere, devoted mother and wife, died on Feb. 10
of a heart attack in her home. She was 50 years old.
She was born in New Orleans and lived in Norco for 44 years. She
is preceded in death by her father, Percy Boutte Jr. She is survived
by her husband, Lynn Louviere Jr., daughter Ashley Louviere, son
Brad Louviere, mother Sydney Fabre, sister Renee Phelan, brothers
and sister-in-law Scott and Bonnie Boutte and Jacques Boutte, mother-in-law
Shirley Durabb, father-in-law Lynn Louviere Sr. and brother-in law
John Louviere and wife Debbie.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Feb. 14 at Sacred Heart
Catholic Church in Norco, followed by entombment at St. Charles
Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the

| Malone |
Gertrude Virginia Songy Malone died on Feb. 26 at Canon Hospice
in New Orleans. She was 84 years old. She was born at Evergreen
Plantation in Edgard and met William P. Malone of Lexington, Miss.
They were married on Thanksgiving Day in 1943.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, parents
Prudent and Elia Songy, brothers Aubin Songy, Sr., Joseph Eddy Songy
and Gerard Songy, sisters Ludivine Stakes, Elma Gendron, Euna Andrews
and Elise King. She is survived by her sisters Odile Vaello and
Inez Caire, children William Jr., John, David and Thomas and grandchildren
Johnny, Joshua, Darcy, Adele, Devin, Andy Clare, Joe, Molly and
Maggie.
A funeral Mass was held at St. John the Baptist Church in Edgard
on March 2.

| Mongrue |
Roy Achille Mongrue, a native and resident of Luling, died on Feb.
22. He was 86 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Cecile Brou Mongrue, sons Roy Mongrue
Jr. and James Gerard Mongrue, daughters “Mitzi” Marie Helene M.
Penick, Emma M. Green, and Marguerite M. Emerson, brother Carl A.
Mongrue, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is preceded
in death by his parents, Achille L. Mongrue and Emma Kinler Mongrue,
brother Lethien “Lee” Mongrue and sisters Maud M. Hymel, Milda M.
Keller and Tessie M. Lejeune.
Mr. Mongrue was a World War II Army Veteran and parishoner of
St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was a former board member of St.
Charles Hospital, a former Justice of the Peace, a former Grand
Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 2409, a member of the
American Legion, a former Vice President of the Bank of St. Charles
where he was employed for 35 years.

Lena Bourgeois Marroy, age 90 years, died on Feb. 24 in Norco.
She was born in Thibodaux. She was the beloved wife of the late
Phillip J. Marroy. She was also preceded in death by brothers Murphy,
Clifford, Clarence, Arthur and Carl Bourgeois and sisters Bertha
B. Daigle, Inez B. Burns and Rose Marie Bourgeois. She is the loving
mother and mother-in-law of Ronald A. Marroy, Phyllis M. and Fred
Boudreaux, Linda M. and Bobby Donaldson. She is sister of Velma
B. Samson and Barbara B. Ackerman, grandmother of Todd and Marc
Boudreaux, Brittney, Ashely and Chris Marroy and many loving nieces
and nephews.
Visitation was held on Feb. 26 followed by a Mass of Christian
Buirla at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church in Norco. Entombment was
at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan.

| Myers |
Kenneth G. “Jerry” Myers Sr., a native of Pascagoula, Miss. and
resident of Luling, died on Feb. 22 of Myleofibrosis. He was a graduate
of the University of Southern Mississippi and a retired Chief Chemist,
past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 2409, and held
the following positions in the KC state family: State Squires Chairman,
State Program Director, State Membership Director, Aide to State
Deputy and a Louisiana Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus MSGR Paul
J. Richard Assembly.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Evely Scheeler Myers,
mother Melva B. Myers, brother Robert P. Myers, sons Kenneth “Jerry”
Myers Jr. and his wife Dianne, John Myers and his wife Jacquelynne,
and James Myers and his wife Tammy, daughter Linda Myer Dugas and
her husband Harry, Brenda Myers Brown and Sheila Myers Maheu and
her husband mark, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He
is preceded in death by his father Kenneth W. Myers.
Were held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling on Feb. 26,
followed by a Mass and burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.

Anna Boleware Naquin of Moselle, Miss., passed away on Feb. 23
at her daughter’s home in Bayou Gauche. She was 67 years old.
Mrs. Naquin is survived by her sons, Thomas Harris of Tuckers
Crossing, Miss., Wayne Harris of Moselle, Marvin Harris of Amite
and Jeff Harris of Ellisville, daughter Cynthia Dufrene of Des Allemands,
sisters Mary Bailey of Lewisville, Texas, Edna Moore of Lucedale,
Miss., Betty Reeves of Laurel, Miss., Doris Graham of Carriere,
Miss., Gene Dychtwald of Covington, Juanita Buckley of Hattiesburg,
Miss. and Peggy Williams of McLain, Miss., brothers James Boleware
of Brandon, Miss., Terry Boleware of Laurel, Miss., Junior Boleware
of Columbia, Miss. and David Boleware of Sanford, Miss., 16 grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother,
John Len Boleware.
Burial was held at Bullock Cemetery.

Cecile Bergeron Nicholas, a resident of Luling,
passed away on Feb. 3. She was 84 years old.
She is survived by her son, Brian A. Nicholas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jay Baptiste Nicholas,
parents Walter Louis and Cecile Ledet Bergeron, brothers Joseph,
Alfred and Ferdinand Bergeron, sisters Mae Schmill, Marie St. Pé
and Edith Schmill and ten siblings that did not reach adulthood.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters
of the Sacred Heart Church of Norco, the American Legion Ladies’
Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Luling.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Feb.
7 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Luling, followed by burial at
St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan.

Betty Foret Petit, a native of Luling and resident of Hahnville,
died on Feb. 23. She was 75 years old.
She is survived by her son, Kevin M. Petit, daughter Stacie Petit
Falgout and two grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband,
Leander J. Petit, parents Merril J. and Noutsy Bourgeois Foret and
sisters Dorothy Mae Foret Danos and Barbara Foret.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Feb. 25 at Holy Rosary
Catholic Church in Hahnville, followed by burial at St. Charles
Cemetery in Luling.

Mildred Wilcox Robeau, age 66, passed away on Feb. 12 at her residence
in Destrehan. The mother of Ronald Gegenheimer, Gerald Gegenheimer,
Cindy Erwin, Jan McNaughton, James Robeau Jr., Joan Hebert, Julie
Gueho and Gill Chilton. Daughter of the late King Wilcox and Mildred
M. Braud Wilcox. Sister of the late Mervin, Melvin, Rodney and Mary
Wilcox. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren
and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel on
Feb. 15.

Winston “Winnie” Delano Tucker Jr., a native
of New Orleans and resident of Des Allemands died on Feb. 15. He
was 44 years old.
He is survived by his fiancé, Tina Parker,
mother Rosa Naquin, stepfather Nollie Naquin, sons Winston III,
Trey, Trever and Trent Tucker, nieces Angelé, Chantelé, Jade and
Sadie, nephews Jason, David, Joel and Coby and sisters Carol Folse,
Karen Deville, Tessa Hymel and Patricia Dominique. He is preceded
in death by his father, Winston Tucker Sr.
Religious services were held on Feb. 18 at
Falgout Funeral Home Parlor in Raceland, followed by burial at the
Des Allemands Mennonite Cemetery.
