Hahnville receiver Jaylon Bryant makes a diving tackle on special teams while fellow Tiger Anthony Mott comes in to help finish off the ball carrier. The Hahnville Tigers looked very strong at halftime last Friday against a tough St. Augustine team. The defense had just made a crucial stop on a fourth and goal with only seconds remaining in the second quarter and the team took a 21-14 lead into the locker room. After touchdowns were in short supply in week one, they were seemingly falling from the sky this past Friday night as the Hahnville Tigers shut out the Istrouma Indians 56-0.

Hahnville quarterback Easton Melancon was forced to scramble out of the pocket several times against Jesuit, but still managed to complete 21 passes for 239 yards. Heading into the season the Hahnville running game was supposed to be the strength of the offense, but the Tigers averaged a little more than 2-yards per carry in their 28-13 loss to Jesuit in the season opener.
