The Hahnville Tigers will travel to Pan American Stadium in City Park in New Orleans to face off against the St. Augustine Purple Knights on Friday night.

In the most talented and most crowded backfield in the world of college football, former Hahnville High School star halfback Alfred Blue has apparently moved ahead of the pack. The 6-2, 222-pound junior halfback has drawn high praise from the Tiger coaching staff and in particular head coach Les Miles.

The Hahnville defense struggled against Edna Karr and will face another tough test when they host Lutcher and quarterback Ruston Matherne. The Hahnville Tigers (0-1) will be looking for their first win of the season when they meet up for their annual match-up Friday night against the Lutcher Bulldogs (1-0).

Hahnville High School wide receiver/defensive back Ronnie Green hoped to make his mark at the HTV-10/Lions Club Bayou-River Showdown as a playmaker, but he never would dream that he would end up being the MVP for the River Region All-Stars playing quarterback.
