Tiger offense firing on all cylinders as they enter showdown with Barbe

Hahnville running back Lynn Simmons came up big for the Tigers in the first round, rushing for 212 yards and four touchdowns. Simmons will need to put up similar stats for the Tigers to beat Barbe Friday night. Hahnville’s offense is firing on all cylinders as they make their way into the second round of the playoffs this week. In their second 300 plus yard rushing game in a row, the No. 24 Tigers (6-5) ran over the No. 9 Ouachita Lions 42-25 in an upset victory.

A healthy Dylan Keller returned to quarterback the Tigers last week in their big win over South Lafourche. For the 14th year in a row, Hahnville High School will compete in the Class 5A playoffs when they travel to Ouachita this Friday.

Defensive end Dwaine Thomas sacked South Lafourche's quarterback in the end zone for a safety. After trailing by a touchdown the Hahnville Tigers came from behind in the second half with the help of a strong rushing attack to finish off the regular season with a win against the South Lafourche Tarpons.

Hahnville running back Lynn Simmons led the Tigers offense in rushing yards and had an electrifying 84-yard touchdown reception. The Hahnville Tigers are hoping to pull out a win against South Lafourche this Friday to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Quarterback Logan Martindale was sacked for a seven-yard loss to end a third quarter drive.  When Hahnville running back Lynn Simmons ran a two-yard sweep and dove to put the ball into the end zone, it appeared the game was out of reach for Central Lafourche.
