White, Hutson named All-State honorable mention

Ethan Hutson
Destrehan, OL, #69

Ethan Huston drew a lot of attention in the 2010 season from both opposing coaches and colleges across the south.

The big lineman, who has committed to Ole Miss, has been an important cog in the Destrehan offense for the last two years and used his unique combination of size and speed to dominate defensive linemen last season.

Hutson (6’4, 297) also has excellent hip and knee bend which really is imperative to winning the leverage battle. Though he will probably line up at center for Ole Miss, his versatility could allow him to play four of the five offensive line positions.

Ahmad White
Hahnville, RB, #2

Hahnville senior running back Ahmad White (6’, 205) had a spectacular year for the Tigers, and was the driving force behind the offense’s success this past season.

White finished the year with 1,782 yards and 20 touchdowns on 314 carries. That gave him a 5.68 yards- per-carry mark.
He also caught 11 passes for 89 yards.

“Everybody told me that I had big shoes to fill with Alfred Blue leaving, so I wanted to prove to everyone what I could do,” White said.
