HHS receiver commits to Georgia Tech

HHS receiver commits to Georgia Tech
Hahnville receiver Brandon Singleton (center) committed to Georgia Tech after impressing college coaches at summer camps.
Hahnville High School receiver Brandon Singleton, who is entering his senior year, has committed to play football for Georgia Tech.

Singleton, who showcased his skills at camps across the country this summer, finished his junior season with 23 catches for nearly 400 yards in a run-heavy Tiger offense.

“I went up there for a camp and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the facilities were really nice,” Singleton said about Georgia Tech. “Another thing I looked at were the coaches’ personalities and how easy it was to bond with them.”

Singleton said that by making his college choice before his senior year, a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders.

“I’m really excited for the upcoming season,” he said. “Now I can let loose and have fun.”

The speedy Singleton also turned heads during the track season, winning the state championship in the 300-meter hurdles and finishing second in the 110-meter hurdles.
